Just got back from a 2 mils walk with my dog. I used to run 5 and 10Ks years ago, so sad how out of shape I've become over the years. Chemo makes you gain weight because you are so tired you don't have the energy to exercise. When you get a chemo treatment they give you steroids along with it, which supposedly increases your appetite and makes you puffy. During the past 2 bouts of the UglyC I didn't exercise, but this time I plan to walk. So you have to make sure I do my 2 miles or at least 1 mile. Send me an e-mail from time to time to ensure I walk.
Tomorrow I plan to paint our front door to match the the new siding and windows we had put in about 2 weeks ago. I feel like I have so much to do before I start treatments.
I have 3 teenagers living in my house, but feel like I should still be able to keep up with all the laundry and house keeping. I don't feel it's fair that just because I have cancer that the kids need to do all the work. They have done nothing wrong, none of us have.
Janet, my almost mom from church gave me a web site that has a list of people who will come and clean my house during treatments for free. I need to go check it out. I love you Janet.
Going to be a beautiful weekend!! Looking forward to smelling the spring flowers and the fresh air!!
