Chemo postponed again

For the past couple of days I've had some pain beneath my right, reconstructed side, about where my bra rubbed. I thought why does this hurt...a little odd, but went on with my day.
When I woke up this morning I took of my bra, which I sleep in (hope that's not too much information) and noticed some yellow goop on it right where it would have rubbed on the sore spot. Hmmmm lets look a little closer at this sore spot. As it turns out the skin in that area has opened up slightly, hence the soreness. I called my Plastic Surgeon who put a halt to chemo for today, and called me in an antibiotic as a precautionary measure. I will see the Plastic Surgeon, on Monday afternoon, then head back to the oncologist next Thursday.

So things do happen for a reason. You can't take chemo with open wounds for the fear of infection. Chemo, low white blood counts plus infection can be fatal, so I guess it's a good thing that I didn't get to have my treatment yesterday.
